With more than 23,000 members worldwide, the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), founded in 1975, is the largest student-managed non-profit organization in the world. NSBE has more than 300 chapters on college and university campuses and more than 80 Alumni Extension chapters and interest groups in the U.S., Africa, Asia, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean. The National Society of Black Engineers Uoft Chapter offers its members leadership training, professional development, mentoring opportunities, career placement services and more. NSBE Uoft also supports students outside of the engineering field who may operate in the engineering industry such as students who may work in computer science, humanities, life sciences, social sciences and so many more. NSBE believes in fostering a safe place for minority students who contribute to all aspects of the industry.
